Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms 三生三世十里桃花 2017 Summary

Summaries:

Episode 38:
Ye Hua approaches Zhe Yan about Bai Qian's past again. Zhe Yan comes clean that he lied last time. Bai Qian wasn't in a coma 300 year ago. She went missing. She suddenly reappeared again one day, injured and heart broken.
"So that's when you gave her the forgetting potion?" Ye Hua asked eagerly.
"No, she asked for it specifically" Zhe Yan said, making it clear it was Bai Qian's decision to forget.

Xuan Nu knocks out a prison guard and makes her escape. After all she's done, she still decides to  go back to Qing Qiu first to find her mother. But she overhears her mother saying she regretted giving birth to Xuan Nu because of all the bad things she's done.

Li Jing personally goes to find Bai Qian. Ye Hua is present and tries to give off the "I trust you" vibe but can't help and also give her a few words of advice on breaking it off the Li Jing. Bai Qian says " Sounds like you have a lot of experience in aspect." lol.

Episode 39:

Li Jing tries to ask Bai Qian for forgiveness but she clearly tells him their relationship is over. She did have feelings for him all those years ago but when she needed him the most, he let her down in the cruellest way.

Ye Hua takes Bai Qian to his palace so she can use Jiu Chong Tian, a pool with healing properties so she can heal her wounds quicker. Bai Qian comments on how dim his entire palace is. Ye Hua tells her it's because her eyes are sensitive so he purposely dimmed the place.

Su Jin is in a fit again when she hears Bai Qian is allowed to live in "Ye Lan Fang Hua," the palace wing that Su Su used to live in. Ever since Su Su died, Ye Hua hasn't let anyone step one foot near it.
Little Dough is ecstatic to see his mom home and asks for a hug. But with her wounds she can't, so Bai Qian tells him she's not feeling to well. Little Dough automatically thinks she's pregnant. He read it in a book, when a woman is pregnant she can't play with little children or else it will be bad for the fetus. And he's really glad she's going to give him a sibling, then he won't be the youngest anymore. Riding the wave his son started, Ye Hua take the opportunity to convince Bai Qian they should immediately try hard for one after their wedding. "Only if you bear the child" Bai Qian responds, easily stopping the father and son from getting ahead of themselves lol.

Alone, Ye Hua promises that even if she loves Mo Yuan, he will love her all the same and try to convince Bai Qian he is the man for her.

Su Jin, deeply jealous, convinces Miao Qing, (the princess from Dong Hai who fell in love with Ye Hua's handsome face and became a maid in Dong Hua's palace) to drug Ye Hua's soup. But Ye Hua easily sees through it and demands to know where she got the drugs from. Crying, Miao Qing is about to tell Ye Hua everything. Su Jin, realizing she's about to be found out, jumps in to change the subject and "plead" for Miao Qing.

Bai Qian, walks by outside of Ye Hua's study, hears Miao Qing crying and thinks that Ye Hua is cheating with a maid. Even though he is stoic and proper in front of everyone, he does so much paper work by himself. And all the maids here are exceptionally beautiful. (She's probably still scarred from that time she walked in on Li Jing). She turns around and decides it best to walk away but Ye Hua hears her and tells her to come into the study.

Su Jin almost has a heart attack when she sees Bai Qian and recognizes her as Su Su. Bai Qian doesn't know her but comments that she has a beautiful set of eyes. Desperately, Miao Qing even asks Bai Qian for help. Bai Qian reasons that the situation isn't all Miao Qing's fault. Ye Hua knew Miao Qing liked him, and still let her into his palace. But as a word of advice, she tells Miao Qing it's best for her to return to Dong Hai. Ye Hua takes the chance to tell both Miao Qing and Su Jin, "Bai Qian is his one and only wife, if she said Miao Qing should leave then it will be so."

Episode 40:

Su Jin, after seeing Bai Qian has a minor freak out moment. Bai Qian looks exactly like Su Su, the "horrid" woman she thought was finally gone is back.

Ye Hua realizes Bai Qian made her decision from rational thinking and nothing else. He called her into his study with hopes that Bai Qian would get jealous but that wasn't the case and he gets upset. Perhaps she won't have room in her heart for anyone else besides Mo Yuan.

Episode 41:
Urgently, a little maid, Nai Nai carries Little Dough to Bai Qian. Little Dough hasn't woken up since yesterday, he's still drunk (from drinking too much wine at the healing pool). Bai Qian simply tells her to not worry, he'll just sleep it off and will be fine later.

Bai Qian stays in Ye Hua's palace for a few days. She over hears a pair of Su Jin's maids talk her about her saying she was going to bully Su Jin and that she was an old fox that used her powers to make Ye Hua so madly in love with her. Bai Qian doesn't confront them but does admit that it's not nice to hear. She comments that their jobs must be too easy for them to have time to gossip, perhaps it's better to have them do something that requires more effort. Understanding her meaning, Bai Qian's maids quickly go to take care of the gossipy maids.

Ye Hua finds Little dough still asleep from drinking too much wine. Bai Qian tells him to calm down, when she was young, she would sleep for 4 or 5 days straight after a liquor binge. Worriedly he tells Bai Qian that she's only saying that because Little Dough isn't her real son. if he was, she would be more worried. Still burnt from the gossipy two maids, Bai Qian says Little Dough isn't her son, he should let Su Jin take care of Little Dough since she's so good and nice.

Episode 54:
Overly drunk one night, Bai Qian finally remembers her mortal life as Su Su. From the time she was framed into losing her eyes to the time she jumped into Ju Xian Tai.

At first Bai Qian wallows over her mortal life which was filled with sadness and suffering but then she remembers, first things first, she's going to get her back her eyes.

Feng Jiu (her niece) adorably follows after her. If her aunt is going for a fight, she needs to go as back up.

When going into a fight, one needs to have the correct weapon. Bai Qian makes a quick stop to summon her fan out of the pond she dropped it into (she dropped the fan in a while back because she was worried Ye Hua would find out she hid Mo Yuan in her fox cave).

She charges into Feng Jiu Chong Tian (the sky Ye Hua is crown prince of and where Su Jin lives). The guards stop her but upon hearing she's the empress of Qing Que, they immediately let her in. Feng Jiu arrives a few minutes later to support her aunt but is stopped because they think she's an impostor.

Broiling with anger on the inside but maintaining a calm and collected look on the outside, Bai Qian enters the Su Jin's ward.

She's here to collect her eyes back, three hundred years ago in her mortal life she was to undergo a romantic tragedy. In all the tussle and bustle, she forgot she left her eyes here, but it's time for her to retrieve them.

Shocked silly, Su Jin cries and begs Bai Qian to take pity on her. But Bai Qian isn't buying it, Three hundred years ago, Su Jin relied on acting weak and gaining others pity to get what she wanted. Three hundred years later, she's pulling the same act. Doesn't she have something else up her sleeve? Both her and Bai Qian know exactly what happened all those years ago, how Su Jin lost her eyes, how Su Su lost her eyes, just because Su Jin held onto her eyes for three hundred years doesn't mean its automatically hers.

Bai Qian gauges her eyes out of Su Jin and takes them back for herself. Now they are even over the eyes but the Ju Xian Tai situation isn't over yet. Bai Qian gives Su Jin two options. Either Su Jin can throw herself into Ju Xian Tai and they will call it even or she has to confess her sins to Tian Jun (the emperor of Jiu Chong Tian and get banished out of the heavens, never to return.

Bai Qian leaves and Su Jin immediately goes to Tian Jun but it's not to confess her sins. She cries to Tian Jun saying Bai Qian cruelly took her eyes away and that she's been wronged. She brings her uncles along and they back her up saying just because Bai Qian is a Shang Shen (higher ranking god) she can't just do whatever she wants, this is outright bullying and shouldn't be tolerated. Feng Jiu finally got allowance to enter Jiu Chong Tian and brings Di Jun with her to back up her aunt. She argues that her aunt was just getting back what was hers. When she was a mortal she was bullied and no one helped her.

If she was in the right why did she leave so quickly after taking the eyes/ Obviously she has something to hide, the uncles argued.

Feng Jiu reasons, that's because Bai Qian didn't want to make a big deal of it. Imagine the uproar if everyone found out the heavenly gods of Jiu Chong Tian bullied a mere mortal and took her eyes.

As it was Tian Jun who made the decision to take the eyes all those years ago, he immediately stops Feng Jiu with a "Fang Si" (basically means rude and ridiculous, old people with higher rankings tend to say it when a younger generation says something out of hand).

Di Jun ingeniously cuts in and agrees that it is "Fang Si". Tian Jun is too invested into this case, instead, he, Di Jun will take the case. He doesn't have any ties to either parties and can come to a fair decision on the situation.

Episode 55:

Ye Hua arrives back in the heavenly lands. Hearing that Bai Qian took Su Jin's eyes, he figures out that Bai Qian remembers. He wants to immediately see Bai Qian and explain himself but decides to resolve the issue first.

He calls on his second and third uncle to join him. The second uncle used to be engaged to Bai Qian but he fell in love with Bai Qian's underling, he ended up marrying her instead of Bai Qian. Coincidentally their son (Ye Hua's cousin) was wrongly framed for molesting Su Jin a few years back, Ye Hua calls them over so they can finally tell their story and get even with Su Jin. The uncle at first wants to let it go and let bygones be bygones. But Ye Hua warns him, letting it go once means it can happen again, this time it was his older son, next time it can be one of his other children.

At the trial, first, Ye Hua exposes that Su Jin used a spell to try and make him fall in love with her. She drops a doll from her clothes, it's proof of the spell. Putting a spell on the crown prince is punishable with banishment.

Secondly, Ye Hua's cousin explained how he was framed. It was Su Jin who told him to follow her then put him under a spell, doused him in alcohol and ripped his clothes apart. When he awoke from the spell he found himself in Su Jin's room and Tian Jun was walking in, he didn't even know what was going on till afterwards.

Su Jin pleads that he is lying, She's the victim here. Di Jun smartly asks the cousin how often he visits Jiu Chong Tian. The cousin answers that time was his first time ever in Jiu Chong Tian.

If it's his first time then how can he know to sneak away from everyone (that day was Tian Jun's birthday so everyone was there for his party) and get into Ye Hua's palace, specifically Su Jin's ward.

Left with nothing else to say, Su Jin sputters as she tries to formulate another lie.

"If you have nothing else to say, then just shut up" Di Jun says elegantly. Purposely he asks Ye Hua's mother "What is the punishment for framing a Chong Tian Prince?" Ye Hua's mother has always really liked Su Jin and has always been biased towards her).

"Banishment from the heavenly lands" She grudgingly says.

Di Jun calmly comments, they haven't even gotten to the situation with Bai Qian and Su Jin, there's already so many punishments waiting for her.

Su Jin crawls pitifully to Tian Jun. They were all lying and bullying her. Everything they said wasn't true.

Ye Hua steps up, "Then you mean I'm lying as well? What is the punishment for slandering the crown prince?"

The crime for slandering the crown prince is even more severe than the previous two added together. Di Jun concludes based on Bai Qian's reputation in comparison to this woman's, it's obvious who to trust. If they continued further, it will be a smear to Qing Que.

Tian Jun agrees and send Su Jin away to guard a seal that's been keeping the dark lord trapped.

Ye Hua rushes back to Bai Qian but she refuses to see him. She tells Migu she's going to Tian Jun to break off her engagement with Ye Hua but never leaves her cave to actually do it. Ye Hua at the same time stays outside of her cave waiting for her to come out but doesn't charge in as she said she didn't want to see him. They remain at a stand off for 7 days and 7 nights.

Episode 56:
The evil lord breaks free and Bai Qian gets called to seal him back as she was there all those years ago with they first sealed him away.

Ye Hua sees this and rushes after her. He binds her with a magical spell so she can't interfere and battles the evil lord himself. But as he lost a lot of power already, he ultimately sacrifices himself and kills the evil lord along with himself.
\
She takes his dead body back to her cave. She stays with his dead body day and night until his parents show up to take his body back. At first Bai Qian refuses, Ye Hua wanted to come back to the cave, it was the last thing he said before he died. But it's also Jiu Chong Tian law for the family to take back the body so Di Jun finally takes the body away.

Episode 57:
Bai Qian reluctantly parts with Ye Hua's body. She relinquishes her title as empress to her niece and spends the next few years wallowing in sadness and traveling the mortal world.

Episode 58 (The end):
Ye Hua didn't really die. His essence has been floating around the heavenly worlds. Finally after many years he's able to reform his body again, Happily, he and Bai Qian reunite for a blissful ending... so enraptured with each other, they leave poor little dough with his uncles. Little dough has to win 7 matches against his uncle before he can go find his mother. That's impossible for the little guy against his uncles who have been in the world thousands of years before him. Poor little dough.

Eager to please Prince Gao Yang raises his arm to reenact his block again... only he used his right arm lol. Wei Yang good heartedly leaves but not before learning that he was in the area to try and solve a famine issue.

Everyone said the plan was elder brother's so he should be asking elder brother what to do instead. Father tells her to cut the front, they both know she came up with the plan, (oh great, now where was he yesterday when everyone wouldn't believe Wei Yang again?) He demands that Wei Yang since it was her plan, it's her responsibility to come up with a solution... and the credit will go to elder brother- Wei Yang finishes for him. Not even bothering to lie, he says credit to elder brother means credit to the entire family including her. (Oh no he did not say that! Die patriarchy!) Wei Yang tells him to set up a meeting with the emperor, she will tell him personally how to save the people. She will tell no one but the Emperor.
At night, her two trusting maids ask curiously what her solution is. Swayed, Wei Yang tells them the plan... unknowingly, the spy maid tells her elder brother and sister.

Episode 11:
Elder brother and sister interrupt Wei Yang's meeting with the emperor. They have a plan as well. It's unsurprisingly identical to Wei Yang's plan. They say that Wei Yang copied their plan. Seemingly prepared for this, Wei Yang easily talks through the though process of her plan and proves her that she's the originator. In front of the emperor, even their father can't save elder brother and sister. They are punished severely and gossip about them being copy cats spread thru the city like wild fire. Wei Yang on the other hand is handsomely rewarded. Prince Gao Yang applauds Wei Yang for her smart move but she just coldly brushes him off. Her scene also incurs the interest of Prince Nanan (played by Vanness Wu).
Wei Yang, cunning and wise beyond her years, knew that her maid had turned leaves from the beginning. Everything, from the moment she wrote up her first plan at the temple was pieced out perfectly for this ending.
At home, the first wife puts all the blame of the spy maid. She orders the maid to be beaten to death but she's pregnant with the elder brother's child.

Episode 12:
Even the pregnancy can't save the maid. She's taken into the elder brother's wing but beaten and treated so badly, she eventually dies. Though she once betrayed Wei Yang, seeing her once trusted maid treated like that, Wei Yang swears to make elder brother pay for all his evil deeds.
On the day of her celebration, she floats the maids dead body into their garden. Shocked beyond belief, she "innocently" asks elderly brother what happened to her maid, why is she dead, why are there beating marks on her body. Even though she was just a lowly maid, she was the mother of his to be child. No match against her, all the guests at her party are easily convinced, elder brother cruelly beat his maid to death, and it quickly spreads through social circles up to the ears of the emperor. Hearing of such an atrocity, the emperor sends the elder brother to "chong gong" which is work as a lowly laborer/prisoner in the outskirts of the country. Crying, the first wife begs her husband to save their only son but nothing can be done, it's not like they can say no to an emperor's edict. Wei Yang's previous bodyguard, whose been in hiding, take the opportunity to assassinate elder brother as he's being transported away.

Episode 13:
The first wife is hell bent on taking revenge on Wei Yang. She's fully convinced she's the reason behind her son's death. Hearing that this Wei Yang may not be the real Wei Yang, she sets a trap for the fake Wei Yang.

Episode 14:
The seventh wife, mother of the real Wei Yang already knew this current one wasn't her daughter but when a second fake one shows up, she chooses to cover Princess Xin Er. Even though she's not her real daughter she believes this Wei Yang has good in her heart.
In private, Wei Yang's father slaps the first wife. He knew she orchestrated the whole thing.

Episode 15:
Prince Gao Yang "coincidentally" bumps into Wei Yang on a trip. He tries to make small talk with her but Wei Yang gives him the cold shoulder. Just as she was about to leave, Prince Nanan also "coincidentally" sees them. They stop at a pavilion and have the world;s most awkward three way courtship where Gao Yang and Nanan try to on up each other including a very wet "let me suck bug poison from your hand."
The first wife suddenly falls deathly ill. The doctor can't find a logical reason for her to be sick so it must be because of something unnatural. They find a voodoo doll in Wei Yang's room.

Episode 16:
They torture Wei Yang and her two maids. Her elder sister, the first wife's daughter, takes Wei Yang's fan, a memento from Prince Gao Yang. Wei Yang obviously cared for it a lot. Elder sister holds a huge crush for Prince Gao Yang. Unable to believe her prince charming (literally) could care of someone else, she brings to fan to Gao Yang who takes the fan and immediately tries to go and see Wei Yang. So all the cold shoulders she's been giving him were just playing hard to get, she really did like him. He arrives in the nick of time. The first wife was about to make Wei Yang commit suicide.

Episode 17:
Prince Gao Yang happily meets Wei Yang a week later but Wei Yang comes prepared. She can't afford to love her enemy's grandson. She tells him she only kept the fan to return it to him later on. She never gave it back to him because she just forgot. Proving her point. she throws the fan out the window. Upset, Gao Yang leaves. Wei Yang immediately runs downstairs to retrieve the fan. She tenderly holds it and dusts if off as a man helps her up. It's Li Min De. (Nooo I thought it was Gao Yang how adorable would that be but they are probably keeping that reveal for later)

Episode 18:
Upset at first, Prince Gao Yang throws himself into work to avoid thinking about Wei Yang. But his Emperor Grandpa goads him on. Renewed in energy he gifts Wei Yang with a bird who tweets her name and recites verses. Wei Yang tries to send the bird back but each time it flies back with new verses it learned from Gao Yang. Eventually giving up, she keeps the bird with the excuse that she couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard she tried. (She really just wanted to keep it) Li Minde, also crushing on Wei Yang, gives her a bird.

Episode 19:
Li Minde turns out to be the long lost prince of another country. He is attacked on a work related trip and his whereabouts are unknown.
Wei Yang gets invited to the palace for a party. She's given the opportunity to dance infront of the queen but chooses to give it to her good "sister: Changru instead. Changru's dance makes the queen very happy but back at home, the oldest sister, desperately jealous, cuts up Changru's outfit in retaliation.

Episode 20:
Li Minde and his mother were attacked on separate occasions because the first wife ordered it. They dared to side with Wei Yang so they are her enemies too. She's successful and Minde's mom dies. Bent of revenge, Wei Yang spikes her father's soup with poison. He starts getting sick just as the first wife did when Wei Yang "cursed her" with her voodoo doll. When they find out it's poison, Wei Yang immediately points the finger at her eldest sister. Eldest sister and the first wife are trying to get Wei Yang "in trouble" again, search their rooms, the poison and antidote will be there. They search the rooms and lo and behold, it's there. Last time, they wrongly accused WeiYang and this time they are trying to do the same thing. Shame on Eldest sister for poisoning even her father to try and get WeiYang in trouble. Realizing they can't get out of this one, the first wife signals eldest sister to "commit suicide" by hitting her head on the wall. (Basically to say they didn't do it, WeiYang is evil, but they can't prove themselves so they may as well just kill themselves because no one trusts them). Easily seeing through them, Wei Yang's bodyguard stops her and tells her hitting her head on the wall isn't very efficient, she will most likely live, if she really wanted to die, she should use a sword. lol. Thwarted again, eldest sister take the sword and says its all WeiYang's fault so she goes to stab WeiYang who dodges so she ends up stabbing the father instead. This throws the father over the edge, angrily, he banishes the eldest sister to a small village to work as a servant.

Episode 21:
Li Minde did not die but his mother did so he vows revenge.Wei Yang hasn't been sleeping or eating ever since Minde's mom died and it hurts Prince Gao Yang's heart. He tells her servant to make sure Wei Yang is eating and sleeping and if there's anything she needs to just contact him.
Prince Gao Nan tells Wei Yang he wants to marry her. Wei Yang brushes it off but Changru hears and begins to get worried. Price Gao Nan as been her crush for over ten years and her life goal was to marry him. (She seriously needs to find better priorities),

Episode 22:
Li Minde tries to assassinate the first wife but fails. It's only a matter of time before she dies anyway, her son is dead and her daughter taken away, the first wife's health has been failing. Coming from a powerful family, the first wife's mother comes to take her home so she can live her last days with her family.

Comments:
Starring heavy weights, Tiffany Tang, Luo Jin and Vanness Wu, this drama was bound to be a hit from the beginning. After watching 13 episodes, I'm inclined to say it's living up to it's expectations. The plot moves swiftly and thankfully this time the female protagonist doesn't just sit around and wait for her prince charming savior at each bend. Tiffany Tang can save her self. Spoiler Alert! When She swore to revenge the death of her handmaid, I thought it would take at least a few episodes before we see her do it. But nope, the next day, she smears her step brother's reputation and he is killed. Talk about efficiency.

He was never going to let Zhang Xi Yong go even after getting the ransom. Ji Bai had figured it all out and already rescued the hostage (from a horrible death by being smother with cow feces) by the time Xu Xu tells him about her deductions. He tells her ZiXi is his good friend and she is not a mistress. In a cool but also mean way, he tells Xu Xu to leave his unit.

Episode 4 Summary-
Ji Bai gives Xu Xu the ultimatum. pass the physical exam or leave his unit in 3 months. Her fellow intern, Yao Meng, beauty queen/pentathlon champion, helps her but it's a long way to passing her test.
One morning, Zhang Xi Yong stops Ji Bai and Xu Xu on their way to work. He wants to "thank" them for saving him but his real purpose was to try and get a read on Ji Bai. Ji Bai is the third heir to another big corporation and also the one Ye ZiXi admires.. Xu Xu guesses that Zhang Xi Yong was trying to get a feel of what kind of person Ji Bai is and appear as the bigger man in front of him but he failed and left angrily. Again, because she thinks Zhang Xi Yong and Ye Zi Xi have a romantic relationship,

Episode 5 Summary-
Ji Bai tells Xu Xu not to buy breakfast for them anymore. It's not going to change his mind about her. Xu Xu straightforwardly tells him Yao Meng bought the food and she bought his favorite food because Yao Meng cared deeply about him. Embarrassed, Yao Meng stutters that it's just because she idolizes him.... not that she has a crush on him, Lol.
But seeing Yao Meng so frazzled. Xu Xu apologizes for embarrassing her friend and swears that she will learn. It's here that Ji Bai sees Xu Xu in a new light. Not as the confident genius who only cares about achieving her goal but as a person who is willing to learn and cares about the people around her.
In the middle of a human trafficking case, Ye ZiXi calls Ji Bai to tell him she's ending their friendship and can't see him again. Surprised, Ji Bai was about to find her but gets another call saying a girl linked to their trafficking case was found murdered.

Episode 6 Summary-
The murder brings them closer to the human trafficking mastermind as Ye Zi Xi sends Ji Bai an urgent text to save her.

Episode 7 Summary-
Ji Bai is too late, Ye Zi Xi is found dead in her villa. Ji Bai is hit hard but he reigns his emotions in to solve the case.

Episode 8 Summary-
Zhang Shi Yong is the primary suspect. He is Ye Zi Xi's secret lover. His fingerprints were found everywhere in the apartment but he had no motive and no hard evidence. The next biggest suspect is  Zhang Xi Yong's wife. On top of being cheated on, she also had an unsavory rivalry with Ye Zi Xi. She admits to killing Ye Zi Xi.
On a cuter note, Ji Bai stole Xu Xu's breakfast and drinks out of her water bottle at dinner (indirect kiss!). But when Xu Xu tries to help Ji Bai, her psychoanalyzing becomes too much. He draws the line and tells her not to cross it.

Episode 9 Summary-
Rethinking and feeling bad, Ji Bai lets Xu Xu psychoanalyze him but he actually learns more about her and how she became to be a "little alien". She got so good at analyzing people because she's always been smaller than everyone, in addition when she skipped a few grades, her classmates wouldn't play with her so she just observed them. Saw what they did, their emotions, guessed how they felt and what they would do next. The more she played the game, the better she got at it.

Episode 10 Summary-
Even though the wife confessed, things still didn't add up so Xu Xu goes back to the crime scene. Similar in size and weight there should be no way the wife was able to push Ye Zi Xi over a railing to her death and escape without a scratch herself. In addition, Zhang Shi Yong said he heard the ding from a microwave. But Ye Zi Xi had a salad for dinner. there was no need to use the microwave. The air conditioner was also on. But it's cold outside, the heat should have been on instead. In addition, Ji Bai says the actual killer must be someone important to the Zhang Shi Yong's wife. In the interrogation room, she was so determined to confess, she must be covering for someone she deeply cared about. They conclude it was the wife's brother. There's enough motive and because they figured out how the time of death was altered (someone injected cold water into her stomach using syringes Ye Zi Xi had at home for her gastritis) his alibi was voided.

Episode 11 Summary-
In the interrogation room, the brother admits to killing Ye Zi Xi. She had lost the company so much money, was in cahoots with his brother in law and yet she wasn't showing any remorse at all. In his anger he pushed her over the railing. But it turns out he didn't kill her either. She was alive even after she fell. It was the assistant who killed her. He had walked in on the brother, shocked and still over Ye Zi Xi after she fell. He ushered the brother out and began his "work." Eerily, he was the one who texted Ji Bai. The assistant was the one who injected the ice water and stabbed her to death. But by the time Xu Xu and Ji Bai concluded this, it was too late. The assistant had escaped by boat to another country.

Episode 12 Summary-
Ji Bai had gotten injured when saving Xu Xu. She goes to his house to bring him dinner and clean his house. Ji Bai thinks she's trying to get on his good side and bribe him with the help but she straight up tells him she just wants to do it.
In their dorm, Yao Meng decipher's Xu Xu's actions for her. The snail has fallen in love with the lion. That's why she just wants to help and make him happy. The first time the lion saved the snail, the snail was annoyed but the second time he saved her, all she cared for was his safety. Now, even when he yells at her, to her, he's cute and caring.
Ye Corp is in deep water by now. Aside from the whole murder case, the CEO of Ye also found loads of drugs in their storage. The assistant, who looked slow and honest, was actually an ingenius and evil crook.
The human trafficking case remains unsolved. Yao Meng is sent undercover to play a potential trafficking victim, At first Xu Xu asks if she should help via satellite since last time she got the department in trouble but Li Bai says "it's alright since he's there." Aww. They play a couple at the stake out but afterwards, Xu Xu's face is all red. Li Bai asks if she's ok and she tells him to leave some distance between them, he's a man and she's a woman after all. Ji Bai just laughs and says there's no genders when it comes to "aliens." lol.

Episode 13 Summary-
Xu Xu speculates their criminal mastermind is a large male between the age of 30-40. They make the arrest and save all the female and children trafficking victims. But Xu Xu finds a used face mask in the master bedroom and realizes she had it all wrong. Their target is a female.

Episode 14 Summary-
Realizing her cover was blown, the criminal mastermind kills a nurse and escapes but not before wounding Yao Meng and Ji Bai's best friend. Ji Bai gets into deep trouble for letting two interns in on such a dangerous mission and on top of it, one of them got severely injured.

Episode 15 Summary-
Everyone on the team is emotionally scarred. Yao Meng can't fire a gun anymore and Xu Xu takes to her comics for relief. She feels that it's her fault for not accurately profiling the target. Ji Bai helps her train physically as she only has one month left before her physical exam and the higher ups are making him bring her to Cambodia where the trafficking mastermind fled to.

My Little Princess 親愛的 公主病 Ep 1 Recap

Once upon a time, there was a princess cursed by a wicked witch. Everyone that she liked would be destined to fall in love with someone else.

Our heroine princess is Lin Xing Chen. Perfect and proper, she opened her own art gallery before she was able to drive.

However, her fairy tale life style is not as perfect as it seems. Her mother was the private mistress of the passed CEO of Dolly Inc making her status illegitimate. She's the only heiress but because of her illegitimate status and her biological mother's rather extravagant shopping tendencies, she has to work extra hard to maintain her image and status in the family.

Her "official mom" (her step mother) is a stern no nonsense business woman who engages her to Zheng Chu Yao, a prince charming heir to his own conglomerate. Their marriage will be purely business and Lin Xing Chen isn't hyped about it- she has nothing but bad memories about Zheng Chu Yao but eventually agrees to it as a necessary part to her life.

That night, Xing Chen arrives at the ball to confirm their engagement. She hasn't seen Chu Yao in years so she doesn't know what he looks like. Only that he's wearing a white tux.

She mistakens the pianist as Chu Yao and plays a stupendous duet with this quiet "ice face" (in chinese she calls him a "Bing Quai Lian which is literally ice face and basically means he like a piece of ice and no emotions) ... only to find out thats not Chu Yao.

This guy is Jiang Nian Yu. A resident genius at just about everything.

Chu Yao instead has grown up to be a fine... scratch that it seems as if he hasn't matured at all. When they were young, there was a misunderstanding between the two of them involving a shoe and a tower of champagne glasses. (Chu Yao finds Xing Chen's shoe, like a princess, Xing Cheng asks him to put it on her foot only for him to sneer at her and say he won't do that for a mere girl like her. lol they were only five or seven. Upset, Xing Chen throws her shoe at him.... but it hits a tower of champagne glasses. When Chu Yao's dad asks who did it, she automatically says Chu Yao. You can imagine the beating he got that night, Heir or not. lol)

Back to present time, he smugly tells XingChen he already has a lover, she's the apple of his eye so Xing Chen should just give up.

Yu Yang Yang- the resident Cinderella/damsel in distress with a confidence level of zero is his "lover". Case and point, Yang Yang, timid as a mouse, backs away and clumsily drops a plate. Xing Chen tells her the plate is worth more than three months of her salary; the whole time Yang Yang just stand quietly and submissively lets Xing Chen tell her off.

Chu Yao quickly inserts himself to defends Yang Yang, this was really Xing Chen's fault, she was too "intimidating" and made Yang Yang break the plate. lol

Not giving up, lover or not, Xing Chen "coincidentally" goes jogging in Chu Yao's neighborhood. (She lives across town lol)

She bumps into Chu Yao and puts on a "wow what a coincidence seeing you here" face. It's fate, they should go on a date!

Smirking, Chu Yao agrees to go on a date with her....

only to not show up.

Fed up and tired, (the girl was only trying to do her job, she'd spent hours getting dolled up and even sat around her house doing nothing to be the appropriate fashionably half an hour late but not too late as to be rude), Xing Cheng goes to her hide out, a manga cafe to blow off some steam.

Why would Chu Yao do that to her?

Bringing out her wildly productive and colorful imagination, she postulates that Jiang Nian Yu and Chu Yao were really together.

Nian Yu heard about their date and forbid Chu Yao from going. lol

She was only doing what her step mom told her to.

It wasn't like she really liked him.

No worries, she will make him fall deeply in love with her and then she will dump him cruelly, serves him right for ditching her.

Unknown to her, throughout her rant, a bear mascot stood beside her listening to everything. lol.

Xing Chen runs after the mascot but gets stopped because she hasn't paid for her session yet and forgot her wallet at home. Thankfully the mascot pays for her and even saves her from a group of unruly men.

Thankful, Xing Chen makes a good friend out of the bear mascot.

What she doesn't know is that underneath the mask is Nian Yu, Mr. Ice Face.

My Little Princess 亲爱的 公主病 (2016)

Episodes: 16

Airs: Thursdays and Friday

Genre: Romance, Drama, Comedy

Summary:

And so, the princess lived happily ever after... only in fairy tales! Lin Xing Chen is smart, straight forward. sassy and has the uncurable "gong zhu bing" or spoiled bratty princess disease. She is rich and beautiful but her life as a princess is far from easy. Always under the scrutiny of the paparazzi and her family, she constantly has to maintain her image and appear confident even when she's not.

She's engaged to her childhood bane Zheng Chu Yao, the rich and handsome heir to a conglomerate. Their engagement is supposed to better their two companies but Zheng Chu Yao is in love with Yu Yang Yang (your run of the mill hopelessly useless Cinderella). Even though she doesn't like him. Lin Xing Chen will marry him for her family. But first she needs Zheng Chu Yao to fall in love with her and agree to the engagement.

Lin Xing Chen enrolls in Zheng Chu Yao's college to win him over. She meets, Jiang Nian Yu, the stoic class genius who is good at everything but always seems to cause her trouble.

In the end will she get her prince charming? Or will her prince fall in love with the underdog Cinderella instead?

Comments (spoilers):
This drama is so good! There's an interesting twist where the heroine is the rich and beautiful princess. The underdog Cinderella character is secondary and you know what, I love it! The main character is straight forward and upfront about everything. When people talk behind her back, she's not afraid to step up and talk right back at them. The Cinderella character is annoying but that's how her character is supposed to be. It's so refreshing to see a strong female lead. Of the two male leads, Mike D'Angelo who plays Jiang Nian Yu is killing it, both with his luscious bod and impeccable acting. There's definitely chemistry between the two leads. The second male lead who plays Zheng Chu Yao has some catching up to do.
